If it's anything like the service I get around my area, basic cable comes through automatically and all you need is a simple cable splitter.
GLC, I'll leave the thread closed, but it all depends on the contract from the cable company. In my area, it's not considered theft of service, there is nothing in the contract about it, and if you ask about it, after a bit of pussyfooting around, they will admit you can do it. So what it comes down to is, READ YOUR SERVICE CONTRACT!

Folks - this is theft of services and cannot be supported in this forum.
Edit - if your cable company allows it, make sure you get a passive splitter with a 1 GHz or higher bandpass or you may lose the Internet signal. Last edited by glc; 05-12-2002 at 01:36 AM. |
