help with losing connection.

hi, im having this wierd problem and have no idea whats causing it. i didnt install anything since this happened so nothing is
interfering. im using windows x. an by the way, this just started happening on its own. ok then, heres my problem ....

once in a while, i lose my internt connection for no reason. it justs shuts off totally. when i try to reconect,
it says "the remote computer did not respond". it keeps sayong that over ad over again no matter how many times i try to connect.
i even tried to make a manual connection and connect through that but end up losing it after a while. i restarted the comp and all
of a sudden i get this bue screen of death. it says " IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" and the only way to get out of that scren is to hit
te power button and restrt it manualy. i got it a while ago and thought nothing of it but day by day it happens more often somtimes
to the point where i can only be on for like 1 hour. this has happened about 4 times already.

i use verizon dsl for my isp. i think its somthing to do with my network connection but at the same time, i dont. i really
have no idea what the hell the problem is and really would like to know how to fix it or even what causing it. im pretty sure
its not the isp because my friends works fine asnd he has the same company. i would be eternally gratful if anyone could help me.
THX

Hi jpdemon6, welcome to the PC Mech forums!

That error is usually caused by a driver problem. Are you using a network card or an internal DSL modem?

What other USB devices do you have? USB is a handy device, but not really ideal for network devices.
