zonealarm firewall BIG problem
this firewall is really starting to make me mad. It blocks everything for me. For instance i was just on a site and none of the pictures would show up. All of them had red "X"s where the pictures were supposed to be. I then turned the firewall off and refreshed the page and the pictures worked fine. this happens on many sites but not all of them. Also, have the problem of where when i sign out of my microsoft.net passport it just gives me a blank white screen instead of the msn.com homepage. If i turn off my firewall it seems to work. What settings do i need to change to fix these problem? I would go w/o a firewall but its not worth it if i get hacked into. Someone please help me because im obviously not understanding the settings in zonealarm. I have the pro version by the way. Thanks.

This may seem silly; but have you configured it?

yes, sort of. I configured the cookie control settings so it enables 3rd party cookies but not sure what everything means in the settings. ive looked in the settings but i don't know which settings would apply to the problem im having.

I tried Black Ice. Too much gizmos and procedures. That's why I didn't stick with it. Too complicated. I use the small, simple Agnitum Outpost Firewall. Very easy and effective.

yeah ive heard of those firewalls but i think i will just stick with zonealarm. someone out there has to know how to fix this problem? you'd think the default settings in zonealarm would work but they apparently don't.

Oops, I meant ZoneAlarm, not Black Ice.
Sorry, I'm not more helpful. |

Goto the Privacy tab and turn off the Cookie Control, Ad Blocking and Mobile Code Control. This should stop ZoneAlarm interfering with IE.
