Changing default search page in IE 6

Could someone please tell me how to change the default search page in IE 6 ? I attemted to change it to Google following their (Google's) instructions and it didn't work. The current default search page is Search Engine 2000, and I hate it. If I could stop it from automatically opening every single time IE 6 is opened, then I probably could learn to live with it. I am using Windows 98 on an AMD K6-ll 3D 333mHz, so have a little sympathy.

Hi Joey L.,

Please don't post the same question in multiple forums. I've answered your post in the Windows ME/98/95 forum.
