sendmail??

Ok I am using a .tk address that forwards people to my IP so I can give that out for people wanting to go to my webpage. I am running linux redhat with apache. The people at .tk allow some email forwarding addresses as well such as admin@jcissell.tk and bob@jcissell.tk Can I set up sendmail so that I can use those email addresses and have them forwarded to my server by my ip? Would I set up accounts on sendmail and have the address point to bob@myipaddress ???

I hope I'm clear on what I'm asking.

Thanks,

Josh

on the server that handles the .tk domain, go to the pop3 account
and put in a re-direction e-mail account. all mail that comes to the .tk e-mail address will be forwared to your address.

I know that is how it works but I want to know what it would be forwarded to if the email server I use is my own server. Or can that be done? Or is an email server only for internal network email?

i take it you are on a different network. is your current ip address a static address? if so you could setup a dns server and
it would forward to your mail server if:
1. you have a vaild domain name and
2. you have a vaild ip address.
3. a dns server with your ip address
4. an mx record on the dns server pointing to your e-mail server

it would be easier to forward it to an existing working e-mail account.

I'm on a cable modem so I do have a static IP. I don't know about all that other stuff. Right now my webpage is at www.jcissell.tk but that address only forwards it to my ip where my page is setup on a linux box running apache. Could I tell it to forward the address josh@jcissell.tk to my ip and then have a port open to recieve the email and it go to my server?
