Dial up connection with Windows XP
Everytime I boot up my computer and click on IE6 Windows XP
should launch the dial up connection box. But nothing happens I have changed the setting from the IE/ Tools/ Internet Options/ Connection menu to connect " Dial whenever a network connetion is not present. This works until I reboot the computer. I am the Administrator. I should not have to open a dial up windows, click dial and then open IE. Can anyone help? Thanks, markkerr |

Have you tried setting it to 'always dial my default connection' then hit apply, and then hit OK?

Yes I have tried setting it to : "Dial my default connection" I think however I did find the solution. It seems that as soon as the computer boots up if you try to go online via IE it will not pop up the dial up connection box. If I wait 2 or 3 minutes after the boot all is fine. I assume even though I get the desktop after a boot, windows XP is still loading stuff in the background. Thanks for you help. markkerr
