I'm currently using Yahoo Messenger with Companion on a Windows 2000 box and whenever I log in with my main username, I get an error message when I try to click on a buddies name or even try to make changes in preferences. But when I have my brother log in as himself everything works just fine. Windows tells me that ypager.exe has caused errors and will now shut down. I know that there is nothing wrong with my username because I am able to login and and use it at work and my laptop. Anybody know what could be going on.... Maybe a registry issue. I've looked for help via Yahoo's Help Guide but nothing to do with my issue...

Did you try to uninstall completely, then reinstall with the latest version?
If yes, save yourself the headache and download trillian www.trillian.cc which is a chat software which you can set up your AIM, Yahoo, MSN, and all the other's on that one app. I use it all the time. |

Yes. I've tried to un-install and re-install and nothing. I do use Trillian but I'm not able to chat in any chatrooms if I'm logged into my Yahoo account via Trillian.....
