I don't know what I did to my Internet settings but whenever I access certain web sights, the "Install Micromedia Flash Player 6" window keeps popping up ad nuaseum. If I close out the window, it will pop up again...and again.
I even decided to install it by clicking "yes" but the window still keeps popping up. How do I get rid of this annoying window permanently? If I did indeed install Flash Player, wouldn't it appear in the control panel/add remove programs?? It's not listed in there and I tried installing it more than once already. What am I doing wrong? Tahnks in advance

I have never had such a problem. Is this a pop-up window or an installation wizard?

The "Security Alert" is a clue. Various programs such as Norton Internet Security, Zone Alarm, McAfee firewall, etc. have flash-blocking and animation-blocking features. I can't give you details as to how to disable it but poke around in your firewall and anti-virus programs' Preferences or Setup or Options (whatever each calls it) to see if you can find references to flash or animation blocking.
