Web TV question

A friend of mine owns a business that makes accessories for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. There site is here: www.pro-one.com

He received a complaint from a potential customer who uses "Web TV" and said he could not access anything on the site.

I guess my question is: What are the Capabilities and/or Limitations of Web TV.

I understand they don't have hard drives, only cache memory. Can they access most sites or are they severly limited, ie, can't handle Java, etc?

Hi LaywerRon,

WebTv was my introduction to the web, more than four years ago. I'm still a subscriber (sometimes I like to surf from bed, where the TV is). No hardrives, only cache memory. No Java. No cookies. Pretty limited. Only advantages are with no hardrive, no viruses or trojans. Also convenience of surfing from bed.

Ugh its god awful IMO. Maybe webtv is different, but I used this one TV based thing from a hotel in FL once. TERRIBLE. No cursor, you had to browse links with a little box, much like lynx. Also the resolution must've been 320x280 or something, as I had to scroll all over the place to view the mech, and even with that, it was far to blurry to read much of anything. Also the remote had terrible reception, it took about 3 clicks for it to respond to anything. Also like above, no java, cookies, DL's, etc... Just a nightmare overall, took 4x the amount of time to do anything, and personally I'd be disgusted if it was be only net connection.
