outlook vs outlook express?

what's the difference between outlook (from officexp) and outlook express 6 (part of IE6)?

have a few POP email accounts and was wondering if outlook was a better choice since outlook express includes MSN messenger.

also, will outlook import hotmail accounts just like outlook express does?

without outlook xp you can set up your hotmail account just like you can with outlook express. also, outlook includes calendars and all kinds of useful stuff.

Basically yes, but if you're just a home user who wants e-mail then I'd say stick with Outlook Express. Outlook can be an overkill for many users. If you want all those extra features then go with Outlook. They both operate in the same manner for the most part. Outlook is also used a lot within a corporation with MS Exchange.

Correct. Outlook Express has an option to disable it though.

Actually, Outlook XP DOES contain MS-Messenger, however, it can be removed just as with Outlook Express.

You can run a reg hack too that will completely remove it. If you're running WinXP I recommend this if you don't want Messenger. Otherwise if you remove Messenger, Outlook Express (Outlook as well) will hang for a few seconds when you run it.
