Here is a question for the experts:
We have a Cisco Local Director and it currently has one server in its farm (we will be adding a second one shortly). The web server runs w2k adv server with IIS 5.0. We want SSL on this web server using three different domain names xxx.company.com, yyy.company.com and zzz.company.com. We purchased SSL licenses for all these domain names. The web server default site is for xxx.company.com and i created a virtual site for yyy.company.com and zzz.company.com created the SSL certs, got them back and installed them. We only have a single IP address so I configured all the web servers to use the same ip address. However when we go through the local director to the server and no matter what domain name we use, it always answers as the first web site that came up. If the domain name doesn't match the browser then we get that ugly SSL query about the certificate not matching. The local director refers to the server by the ip address. How can I get this to work using the local director? I know if I didn't use it and pointed all my domains to the single box it would work like a charm. Does anyone have any words of wisdom?

Consult TAC about Cisco Local Director:
http://www.cisco.com click on TAC, search. My guess is that there is a configuration change that you need to make. hth |
