Dial Up Get Kicked off Internet
I'm keep getting kicked off the internet. I am using dial up. I think its because i have 1 phone line in my house and use it for internet and a regular phone. Is there an option somewhere to not disconnect if i get called?
Windows 98 SE Internet Explorer 5.5 Thanks |

Have you disabled call waiting?

Look in your phone book. You dial a star code to disable it for a call; in my area, it is *70. The quick way to disable it is to simply put "*70," (or whatever code your phone company uses) in front your dialup number. The comma will put a pause in between the code and the number.

there is an option in Dialup Networking under Dialing Properties to disable call waiting when you are connected to the net, just check the box and choose the star code for your phone system like doctorgonzo said.
