IE and Safe Mode Problems

Hi All,

Everytime I have to boot into Safe Mode, numerious changes happen after restarting into regular mode.

One such thing is that IE will no longer open in a full sized / full screen window, only in a reduced size window.

Any Ideas??

Thanks !!

Just a thought, but when booting into safe mode, do you have different screen resolution then your regular screen resolution? Could this maybe cause the problems? HTH

Safe Mode should be starting with 600x400 resolution and changing to standard VGA. The idea is to run as few items as possible for diagnosis.
You're right, TwoRails. Your IE screen will need to be resized after running in Safe Mode.

Hi Guys !!

My wording could have been a little more clear.

Before Safe Mode: I could open IE and it would ope Full Screen - regardless of resolution.

After Safe Mode boot, Then booting back into Normal Mode: I open IE and it does Not open in Full Screen, but in a Windowed Screen.

It's like somewhere in the Registry, there's a 0, where there should be a 1.

Erm, you could try going to your quick launch shortcut to Internet Explorer

Right click - properties and select Maximized in the Run drop down box

Cheers,

Hi fatboyjim,

That did the trick for opening IE from the quick launch bar !!

Thanks !

Now, do you have another trick to get a New IE window to do the same?? That'd be really sweet !!

hehe, I wish I knew tworails

The most annoying thing is when it's nearly full screen, then you go to close it and end up closing the window behind it
