Question Opera

I am downloading 11mb of Opera to give it a try on WinXP. Do I need to do anything with IE so it will not have any conflicts? Any settings? Thanks.

Nope, unless you want to make Opera your default browser, i.e. the browser that opens when you click on an html link.

Ok it's running but I'm getting a message"Cannot locate remote server".

Update,
Zone alarm was the problem. I don't really see a difference in speed at 56k. Do you know where can I set homepage?

Question Security settings, MSN page

Any security settings I need to change here? I have a message asking me if I want to send message without encryption. How can I encrypt? Any settings?

MSN page keeps poping in browser unrequeted. How can I stop that?

I take it back, it is faster than IE6.0.

Are there any advantages of having windows inside Opera VS. windows on the desktop?

If you aren't sending sensitive info, just ignore the encryption message.
If you are getting MSN in a popup, search the options, you'll find an option to disable popups.
I couldn't understand the part "Are there any advantages of having windows inside Opera VS. windows on the desktop?"
I agree, Opera is faster than IE

When I first launch Opera a window comes up and I can choose bewteen having opera open several windows within opera or open window on the desktop. It must be an opera feature that allows you to cascade within opera I suppose. Thanks.

Hi Charles,

Opera is better in many ways than IE. Try Mozilla, too. You may like it even better.

Choose the one that makes it easier to use for you, no advantages here, I prefer the second one.

Opera vs. Mozilla

Finally gave up on Opera.
I find MOZILLA better than the others.
Lots of right clicking cool stuff!
Full of helpful functions, not fluff.
Easy to integrate.
