Outlook filter question
Does anyone know of a way to filter certain types of emails from my inbox? I know how to set up junkmail, but I keep getting emails that have a "script error that Outlook cannot display" I get one everyday, from a different email address every time and I want to filter out this type of email.
Thanks |

Setup a filter that doesn't have your name in the to: or cc: box. If this is your corporate email report it to the admin, if it is through your ISP report it to them.

To take this a step further...
How can I add a filter to block mail from a specific country, i.e. ru and ar? Most of the spam I receive comes from Romania, Argentina, and countries like those.

Hi Nuclear Krusader,
Think I can help you with this, but I need more information. Is there any part of the sending address that identifies the country? For example, is it something like, 'illspamyou@spammers.ru? If so here are steps that may help: In Outlook, click 'Tools - Rules Wizard'. When th dialogue box comes up, click 'New'. On the top of the next dialogue box will be the question, 'which type of rule do you want to create?' Highlight the first one ('check messages when they arrive'). Click 'Next'. You'll be asked, 'Which condition(s) do you want to check?' Check 'with specific words in senders address'. Before clicking next, click on the words, 'specific words'. Type in '.ru', or '.ag', or whatever. Click 'Next'. The next dialogue box asks, 'what do you want to do with the message?'. You can delete it or send it to your Deleted Items folder. In the next dialogue box, you can add any excpetions. Finally, click 'Finish', and your done. Hope this helps. |
