AOL & Parental Controls
I've tried to help family members & friends to understand the need to remove the aol cancer from they're cyber lives, but some issues keeps popping up. What about parentel controls, and all my friends are on it, etc. Well, I don't have children in my home using my PC, and have never had the need to look into parental controls. What do I tell them, and is there an easy & "free" program to structure safe surfing? The message service is available to anyone, so that's no biggie, but I hope to help them grow to understand real web browsing. AOL really stunts a person's cyber growth, not to mention the spam invaders, and the difficulty most folks have reported, when trying to cancell their membership. I'll pass on any suggestions, or links that anyone cares to share.
Thanx Ya'll. |

I believe there are shareware or freeware parental control programs in places like CNET.com. I may be wrong though about it being free but I think my little sister got one from CNET.
