Internet Explorer 5.0 Script Error 83
Old laptop using win95 w/ ie 5.0 keep getting script error 83, what is it and how to fix it.

Strange..., I couldnt remember where it was happening so I logged onto it and it doesnt happen now. It is still not letting me type into the search box however on google or yahoo. The script error I believe was happening when I clicked the back button but not 100% sure.

Could be the sites your visiting! I would go and at least upgrade IE to 5.5. Go to tools>windows update, and you can get it from there, pretty lengthy though especially if your on dial up. IE6 is available but 5.5 should get you working well again.

IE6 is not compatible with Win95.

Reformatted and installed 98 on it. Upgraded to IE6. Gave up on fixing the script error.
