Diff between Ie-5 and Ie-6 causes "pop"???
For some reason when I use Ie-6 there is a clear "pop" sound when the browser goes to change pages.
I click the mouse on a choice that is going to change the page and 1/2 second or so later there is a profound "pop" through the speakers. Like the needle on a vinyl recording. (I'm dating myself) I can't see where anything is sharing or installed on the same driver, this isn't happening anywhere except Internet Explorer I wanted to uninstall the entire program, but it won't let me? Opera by necessity, may as well get used to it, Opera works real well just different. Can't afford to buy it and the ads are annoying. I need some cheese to go with my whine.

To remove this "pop" sound, go to Control Panel > Sound and Audio (or something like this), then you'll get a list of events and sounds, search for Windows Explorer, and disable start and stop navigation events.
There is a free web browser that is in my opinion better than IE, it's called Mozilla, give it a try: www.mozilla.org |

Thanks,
I thought I looked there, I guess I didn't realize "start navigation" was what I was after. I removed the icon and "pop" went away. I like Mozilla too, Opera is just quicker on my system. Thanks again |
