can't change index.html!!!!!
My remote site will not load the new index.html, it just reverts to the original index.html. Sooooo I changed "default.html" and now what loads when you go to the page is home.html. What am I missing here? The site is www.wisdomranch.org. I am using dreamweaver. Thanks.

Well there is no index.html, index.htm, home.html, home.htm or default.htm(l). The webserver is generally configured to load index.htm or index.html first. I am not sure how yours is configured since it doesn't load any of those. Is your new index.html file in your public_html folder or below it or in a directory above it?

view source
the source code shows nothing on the page, which may account for the blank page on load. the source code shows nothing between the body codes so whatever page the site is resolving to it doesn't have anything in it. possibly it's using a default page that's there for bad resolves (error page though it doesn't say so). are you loading files through ftp or direct on the fly through a control panel? did you check the file before you uploaded it to make sure it was correct? |

doublecheck your link. you put an extra period after the .org it reads ".org." when i get rid of that, i can see the wisdom ranch mountainy logo thing, with wisdom through experience underneath it.
