Opera or Mozilla are good. If you like Netscape at all, you will like Mozilla. You can block ads and popups with it quite easily.

After hearing comments here I checked both out as alternatives to IE6, and I like Mozilla better.

Hi mrjohnsonjr,
I use NetCaptor (which is really only a shell over IE and not a "real" browser) but have tried Mozilla 1.0 and like it...but I'm just too used to NetCaptor to switch. Give Mozilla 1.0 a shot. Cricket

How do I block pop-ups and ads with Mozilla?

And:
Edit > preferences > Privacy and Security > Images and check "Accept images that come from the originating server only". This will make most of the ads disappear. If you notice that images on a site aren't showing, check "Accept all images" again. |

Also, in Mozilla, right click on an offending ad and click "Block images from this server." No more ads.

I've tried both Opera and Mozilla. I like Opera better, but I am having a problem with when I click a link that uses javascript. Most often it doesn't work. Anyone know a cause or fix for this?

Rude: Try using ctrl/tab, the javascript window may be opening behind the active window if you have popups set to open behind (as I do).

No, I have popups disabled - that's one thing I like about Opera. Thanks for the try though...

I have popups disabled too, and Mozilla doesn't open pages that use popups for links, I think you need to enable popups to get the page, maybe there is a better way, I don't know.
