Dial up without an ISP
I have got braudband on this comp but i have one elsewhere and i want to update the drivers. I need to use a dial up modem on that but i dont have a dial up account. Can i connect to the net without an ISP..If so..How?

Many DSL provides have dialup capibilities for situations like this. You might check out you dsl web site. Or you could make the pc in question connect through your dsl connection if its in the same building.

If you have a burner you could use your broadband PC to download the free version of Netzero (about 416K) and burn it to use at each PC. Free version has ads, but if it is only going to be used for driver download that shouldn't matter.
I just did this for a friend of mine who got a new PC and didn't have a ISP. He used that to log onto Netzero and sign up for the Platium version ($9.95 without ads). Chas

You could also do the downloads on the DSL box and burn CD's for installation.
