Internet Explorer Pop ups

I have Version 6.0 of IE. Everytime I click on a link and it opens a new window for the link... the new window is just see through and it never opens the web page. Its just a window with a header and an outline of a web page. Everything behind the window you can see. Anyone know why its doing this?

Send a message via ICQ to HackinCowboy
Try running the repair for Internet Explorer. Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Microsoft Internet Explorer > Repair Internet Explorer. Does the problem happen everytime on every new window or just with a certain page?

try to look on the left of the list. Is there an option to show Windows components? I am not sure if you are using XP or 2000 (I have not much experience with 2000) but in XP there is a button to bring up the list of Windows components to Add/Remove.

And like HackinCowboy asked, is it every page or just certain ones that do this?

also try going into Tools>InternetOptions>Advanced and look for the check box called "reuse windows for launching shortcuts" make sure it is checked and see if you still have problems. I am not saying that is a valid way to fix the problem (more of a way around it) but you could see how bad the problem is this way.
