Right lets say I've got 3 web pages opened, i've left 2 in the background either to finish loading or just sat there idle, while i view another, why is it these other two pages keep popping up, i've never experienced anything so annoying! lol! is it a setting so that when a page loads it automatically pops up, even though your viewing another! Please Anyone that can enlighten me i would be trully gratefull, along with about 50000000 others! cheers!

Hi ryan_the_razer,

Can you provide more information? What is your OS and which browser are you using?

Yeah, it could be a few things depending on your OS and browser. Can't help without that info.

I am assuming you are using Internet Explorer. There are several registry hacks you can use depending on your combination of OS nad browser. The easiest way however is to use a tweaking utility like tweakui or xtech. Both have setting to prevent other items from stealing focus from the window you are currently working in.

One trick I do is to Go up to Tools --> Internet Options, click Security tab, then change the settings to High. Disables js and downloading. A pain when going to a site the requires js to load properly (most do), but passable if you just want to get in and get out.

Remeber to set it back, of course, when done. A pain, but I'm too lazy to download anything else
