maximizing web site links

Whenever I click on a link from a website the new window that opens is about a 1"x1" square. What option can I set to open these link windows as a maximized window? I am running win2000. Thanks for your time!

Hi rmaier,
  1. Close all IE windows.
  2. Open one instance of IE and resize it to a larger size.
  3. Close the IE window.
Now all links should open in a window of that size. Hope that helps.
