"new window" help

For some reason, my browser (IE6) is acting weird.
When I am on a site that has a link that opens in a new window, well the new window that opens is small. I want this to open maximized, how do I change that?
I know, simple question, simple answer, but I just can't remember how to fix it.
thx

And in case you are too lazy to click, this from Mairving:

Open up the window, resize it by dragging the edges horizontally and vertically, hold down the shift key and close the window.
