Thank Goodness!

When AOL took over Time Warner, I use to have this nightmare where I would turn on my computer, click on the Internet (RoadRunner) be greeted with advertisements and hear, "You Got Mail!" As we would be forced to convert. Well it looks like I can sleep better now.

How is AT&T's broadband right now? I've heard some mixed opinions from several people I know, but in an overall sense are they pretty poor? If this is going to be anything like dial-up AOL then I feel sorry for anyone who signs up for this service. I can just picture it now, your connection dropping every 15 or 20 min b/c it's timing out. Your download speeds will barely be that of a 56k modem.

I had @Home and then AT&T when @Home went belly up. @Home was much faster and more reliable. The AT&T network is slow and goes down quite often. If I could get DSL I would switch but Cable is my only available choice. Only advantage of AT&T is the pricing. It's cheaper than DSL.
