You could just set up Outlook to retrieve your Hotmail account. Makes it easier then to have to log into Hotmail online everytime you need to check the mail.
Go to Tools> Accounts>New> and choose Mail. It will guide you through the setup. I did this with my Hotmial account. It came in very handy! HTH

right above the Compose window in Hotmail, there is a check-box "copy message to sent folder"... but, alas, MSN has decided that any emails in that folder will only be kept there for 7 days...
good luck |

yep... gotta check it everytime if you want it saved for 7 days in the "Sent" folder.... not one of the good features of Hotmail, but... it's free, so I cant complain.

In Outlook Express. Do file, identities, add new identity. Require a password to switch identities. I think you can pay Hotmail as well to keep your sent mail longer. The days of free stuff are just about over.

Paid hotmail still is not very good. POP3 kicks it around and rubs it in.
Only 1.5 mb attatchments on a hotmail message!? gimme a break. Don't get me wrong I have a paid for Hotmail account, a free hotmail account, and a Pop3 account. Nothing beats Pop3, but I like how Hotmail automatically scans attatchments for viruses. It's got it's advantages, but still doesn't cut it when compared to pop3. Howevr, everyone's right about managing your Hotmail with Outlook Express (makes it easier). |
