CG-bin
Someone told me to check my CG-bin to see if I have a counter
in their. Were is it? |

It is cgi-bin, a sub-folder inside your public_html folder.

It depends on your web host if you have any pre-installed scripts on your web site. Some hosts offer you a control panel that allows you to install pre-configured scripts with the push of a button (e.g. phpbb forum, shopping carts, counter, guestbook, etc.). Other hosts don't offer you anything and you will need to install it yourself. It is not difficult - most scripts come with a readme or install doc.
By the way - many counters do not work properly and the number of visits is not correctly displayed. Some web hosts offer web site statistics with their services which are based on the real log files. Much more accurate and much more details that way!
