Disabled right click option on webpages

I go to a lot of websites where for some reason they have a script that doesn't allow right clicking. I find this a major pain in the you know where! Personally I don't want to have to run my cursor way across the screen just to hit the back button, I find it quite conveinent to just right click and select back from the drop down. What I want to know is if there is some way to tell my browser to disregard that script?? Or is there something else that I can do to shut that crap off?

Thanks
Frustrated web browser
GeneC.

I dunno about IE, but I use the Z key in Opera - that sends it back. I also have the right thumb button on my 4 button mouse set to "back". There are legit reasons to deny the right click, don't get on their case too much - how would you like all your copyrighted images stolen by everyone?

Just adding that stupid little script won't stop someone from getting the images, and I won't get into any copyright arguments other than to say if it's on the web it's public domain. I can get around these scripts and take any image I wanted to if that were my objective, I merely think it's a petty annoyance for those times I don't have access to my intellimouse explorer. In my oppinion that script should be banned from the web.

Doesnt the "back" mouse button work?

Not to perpetuate an argument, but if there is a copyright notice on the page it's not public domain.

In IE, just hit the backspace button on your keyboard.

I designed a site for a photography studio. They requested that this script be used because the photographs were property of the studio. This script was used in conjunction with a copyright notice. It won't stop everyone but it deters most people. You will see more of these types of scripts and better scripts in the future protecting the property of the Web site owners.
