Script Error - Arrrgh!!
This is driving me mad!
I set up win98 on a machine with IE6.0 for a client that also wants to use Kazaa. They are also on dialup. Everytime Zazaa is started it comes up with 5 or 6 IE scripting errors. This is with an IE browser open or not. I have the "Disable Script Debugging" checked and "Display a Notification About Every Script Error" unchecked. I run the same versions on my win2k machine without this issue. Any suggestions?

Uninstall Kazaa and reinstall it. Run the Windows Update and make sure you have all current IE patches installed.
Any developer tools installed on that machine? Christoph

Opps, I meant Kazaa lite - I wouldn't install the full Kazaa due to the other crap that comes with it. One note, however, if you run Ad-adware after installing Kazaa Lite version 1.7.2 it will find about 7-8 items of spyware. If you delete them all Kazaa Lite will not run and will ask you to reinstall the software. I have been sticking with the 1.7.1 version because of this.
I also forgot to mention I had reinstalled Kazaa Lite a few times with no luck and have the IE 6.0 patch. I ended up doing a IE 6.0 repair which cured the script errors. Thanks for your replies. |
