Outlook Express addressbook question

I recently built my wife a new P4 1.8A Ghz mosheen but failed in getting a good copy of her addressbook that she has tons of addy's in. I used identical methods for her favorites and addressbook. I used the File>Export to a floppy. When I tried to Import the addressbook into Outlook Express I got an error saying import failed. Is there a better way? It worked for her Favorites but not for this. One bit of info, though. She had IE6 and I guess Outlook Express6? Not sure if that is the Outlook Express version bundled with IE6 or not, but nevertheless she did not want IE6 on her new PC. I downloaded 5.0 and did all the updates including the 128bit encryption which I believe updates this to a 5.5. Could this have been the problem? IE6 to an earlier version? Or did I just do it wrong? I have her old PII 233 that is going to be donated to a friend but I want to get this address book issue resolved before doing the factory recovery disk to remove any fragments of her docs and apps. Please respond asap as wifey is ready to have the portion of our office space reclaimed that I have everything strung out on!

right, that's her address book file. copy that and place it in the same spot it was on the old machine. should work.

Well it has been awhile and I thought I'd let you know that all the efforts would not put Humpty Dumpty together again. I never could get Outlook Express addressbook that is included in the IE6 download to work in Outlook Express w/IE 5.01. I expect that there is a reason, although I don't know it. When I replaced the *.wab file from the newer version of Outlook Express to the older version I kept getting errors. Wifey finally said she would export to a comma delineated text file and just reenter it all. She isn't a real happy camper, but I know when to say when! Thanks to all who tried to help, anyway.

Last ditch - revert her PC to IE/OE 5.x and try the direct export/import.

Also you can import the text file you mentioned if all else fails. That would be better than retyping all of them.
