Internet connects for no reason Why?
I have a strange problem going on here it seems every time I click on a folder or someting on my PC my DSL automatically connects to the INET without me asking. I checked the connections tab in IE and checked never dial a connection, also I uninstalled some programs I thought might be causing it, to no avail. I hope some one has and answere.

Check for spyware, trojan viruses, suspect highly to be one of those. ControlPanel>autoUpdate could possibly be the cause but I much more highly suspect virus or spyware!

Checked for trojans and spyware none, no virus found either. What else do you recommend?

After Ifirst install my firewall, and first click on "search" in XP, explorer.exe wants to connect to the internet (i assume it is becasue of the internet search options in the XP search box). ZoneAlarmPro brings up an alert asking me if I want to let it. I set it to "block explorer.exe" and have it never ask me again.
Is there similar settings in your firewall to block explorer.exe?? (not InternetExplorer mind you) |

I had a problem with my computer connecting on it's own, it was a setting in my e-mail that was doing it though.
FWIW |
