I need to put some PDF files on a website. They have already been created for me, and I need to publish them to my website so others can view them. I'm having a brain freeze here and I'm stumped on how to do this. How do I publish .pdf files? I use FrontPage extensions with this website, so does that make a difference? I just can't get my mind working on this one. Can someone please help me?

Hi Kathy,
A PDF is just like any other file, just upload it to the web server and link it from your web page. For example, upload your PDF to a folder called "pdf_files" and just add a link somewhere on a page to "pdf_files/first_file.pdf" and when someone click on it, it will open with Adobe Acrobat reader (if they have it installed). |

Thanks! I knew it couldn't be that difficult, but for some reason I just couldn't "get it". My problem was that I was so used to WS_FTP (on other websites), that I didn't know I had to "import" these files in FrontPage. Duh. The more I use FrontPage, the less I like it. It's ok for beginners, I guess. But I find more and more that I'm outgrowing it.
I appreciate the help, Dr. Zaius. |
