zip corrupted files

i recently download a large zip file. when i try to extract it, this message pop up / Error in file #1: bad Zip file offset (Error local header signature not found): disk #1 offset: 0 \
can i fix the signature thingy. thanks

What program did you use to unzip it? Sometimes (not often) downloads will unzip with one program and not another.

i try winzip and winrar. winrar offer to reconstruct the file by it left out some.
