A friend is having trouble opening pages with Internet Explorer. His AOL browser works just fine, but IE will not let him open many pages (he can open some). He has two computers, hooked to a router off a cable modem, and both computers have the same problem. Both are using IE 5.01 that comes with Windows98SE. He has run the IE repair and gets the same results. Could this be a problem with the router?

Are there any firewall settings that's blocking access to certain ip's.

The problem ended up being a firewall in his linksys router that he got worked out through their support people. The router had it's own firewall and he was also running Zone Alarm.
