i am not familiar with the actual program, but if it is anything like other firewall programs, there should be a configuration thing panel where you can turn down you security a bit. when you say the programs won't connect all the time, what do you mean and what type of progrma, once again this might just have something to do with your confgiurations. hope this helps.

Are you using firewall alone or with Internet Securtiy? if Using Personal firewall alone open it and choose the customize tab to change your settings. If using Internet Sedurity open it click on firewall tab on left and choose customize.

OPen up personal firewall choose customize when it opens under personal firewall choose" High block everythng untill you allow it.

Under Java Applet Security choose None Allow Java Applets.
Under ActiveX Control Security choose NOne Allow ActiveX control.

Then choose Internet Access Control when there scroll down the list of Applications and click on anyone, then to the right click on the thumb nail and choose Automatic, Permit all, or block all.

If a dialog box appears when attempting to access the internet and your block you have to option of Permitting all then on the bottom of box put a check in the box that says something like always permit this action. then the next time that program attempts to access the internet Norton will allow it.
