Question Ie 5.0

How do I rearrange the tool bars at the top of the page. The bar with "File Edit View Favorites Tools Help" use to be above the Address bar now it is below, and I want to set back to the way it use to be. This is what happens when your two year old girl wants to surf Barbie.com. Help!

Hi larry1135,

Click on the vertical bar on the left side of the menu bar and drag it to the top.

Larry, I would also recommend you upgrade to IE 6.0.

It's a MAJOR upgrade from 5.0 and much faster IMO.

larry1135,
And follow up your IE6 upgrade with the IE6 SP1. For me it made IE6 even quicker.

I noticed that with 5.0 there were fewer problems with pages loading. However, I do miss the cookie blocker that 6.0 has.

It is also a matter of disk space. 6.0 is a bigger space hog than 5.0. Personally I stopped at 5.5.

I have version 5.00.3315.1000 I wanted to go with the 5.01 but when I tried to update I got a pop-up saying that 5.01 cannot work with Windows 2000. However, if I go to the update site it states here and there that 5.01 can be part of Win2000, but I can't get it installed. Any ideas?

You already have 5.01 - I know for a fact I have 5.01 SP2, and my version is 5.00.3315.1000IS - and looking a bit farther down it says SP2 followed by some "Q" article numbers - these are security patches. I'm running Win2K.

Probably just a matter of preference but I like 6.0.

I also stoped at 5.5
"Print preview"
6 just seems to want to automate everything and gets annoying IMHO

I think IE6 stinks. I upgraded to it on my Win98 machine. After using it for 2 weeks and also I was miserable for those 2 weeks I formatted my PC and went back to IE 5.01. I am much happier now.

Been using IE6 since the day it was released and have had no problems whatsoever.
