that is bascaiily a web-based site builder.it allows you to get a web space on its own server and put the html file on it. or they can FTP to your own server.
If you want a free site, there are better deals. you can get free web space from tripod,geocities,freeservers,0catch,topcities.they usually have FTP which is a very good way to upload your files.u can use html site builders available free on net. Although I haven't updated it in awhile, here's just one I use at geocities.com, to show that pictures can be uploaded.

If you have broadband, don't mind running your computer 24/7, and don't anticipate lots of traffic, you could host it off of your computer.
I got a domain name that supports dynamic ip addresses from http://dyndns.org, I forwarded port 80 on my router to my computer, and I installed Sambar server http://www.sambar.com on my computer to serve the files. With a setup like this you have ultimate control over your account, unlimited space, no bandwidth limits (not that you're likely to exceed those anyway), and absolutely no ads, unless you put them there for revenue. It might have more downtime and be a little slower than a proffesionally hosted web page, but its something to look into. |
