alternatives to Real Player
Does anyone know any media programs that will play Real Player streaming audio? I want to be able to listen to my local radio station while I'm away from home, but i freeking hate Real Player because it comes with annoying crap and is always bugging you to upgrade.
I'd rather use a third party program that is bare bones. Any ideas? TIA -Zeqe |

Hello,
I'd recommend Winamp Lite at www.winamp.com There is a plugin available here. Once you install Winamp, go to options>Preferences>Setup>Agent and disable winamp agent. HTH Last edited by mc2phat; 10-11-2002 at 09:04 AM. |

A couple of years ago, there was a program called "StreamBox Ripper" (I think). It would convert Real audio and video into standard audio and video files. Don't know if it is still around.
