Roommate just got his cable hookup and thats the SW they gave him.. is it good? Or is ZoneAlarm better? We are going to set it up behind a Linksys 4 port router too. Should I get Blackice?

You don't need NIS if you use the Linksys - it has a decent firewall built in. NIS is bloatware. Use Zone Alarm till you get the Linksys and start sharing the cable.

I agree, use Zone Alarm, it's simple and good. Plus it's free

I have used Norton Security and Blackice, I found that Zone Alarm is the easiest use.

Thanks guys. Hopefully we'll have the Linky up and running tomorrow... set my roomate up with Zonealarm, its good stuff! I think Norton was only a trial or something anyway.. silly.
