What connection are you on

Details appreciated....

I am on a DSL connection myself with about 40kb/s download speed and 12kb/s upload speed. Not super-fast, but at least I have a 24/7 connection

i'm on a 56k connection, but it connects around 37k... and my downloads are mind numbingly slow.

On DSL, 768/256 advertised, 922/128 is the average of what i actually get/

downloads 177kbs mostly, can get up in the 300-200 range though. pings hardly get above 65.

cable connection, from belgium. recently downloaded mandrake 9
got 500kb/s. upload is heavily capped to 20 or so. (most pple have dsl around here, so i think thats why i get great speed (all alone on big cable line or so). fastest ive seen it go was around 650 (from german server)

Cable, advertised 1mbit down, 512kbit up, but it's at least 2x faster than that.

56k. Usually connects at 50667 bps. Never seems to exceed 5k for downloads and webpages.
