Question Internet Bug?????

Sorry bad first post but was wondering got a email from a friend telling me too search for file JDBGMGR.EXE said it would show a Bear next too it its supposedly a virus that sits in your Computer for 14 days then goes at it anyone heard of it?????I found it on my computer is windows system files can i delete it?????? thnks been reading posts on here forever SEEYA

You have been hoaxed! The file is the Microsoft Debugger for Java. Don't delete it.

I searched for the jdbgmgr.exe in my C drive and found this bear sitting there with a name jdbgmgr.exe. Should I send it to recycle bin and delete from there.

Before you believe ANYTHING that anyone sends you about a virus or whatever, check it out yourself at one of the major antivirus vendor's sites - I use Symantec. They have complete listings of all legitimate threats and hoaxes.

If the mail comes with 14 AOL forwards, you can almost bet it's a hoax.

My sons babysitter deleted it will it hurt anything any links too get it back out there she is running XP thnks!!!!

if you scroll down to the bottom of the link zaney gave you it shows you how to restore the file,in any event it is not a critical file
