Question Macromedia Flash?

I have been told that Macromedia Flash is easy to learn. Is this true? Mind you, I have very little web design experience and I am trying to get a straight answer before I start trying to learn this software.

Thanks

I would have to say no. That is actually a pretty heafty program. At least not something that you can learn to do well without at least a week (or two) of using it.

If you already have knowledge of another vertex editing program, it will definitely ease the aches and pains. It's fun to learn that program though.

If you have little web design experience, and possibly little graphical experience, I wouldn't be getting my toes wet with flash. Start with HTML first and just learn about things. Once you understand wesbites, then I'd move on to making a site in flash.

It's really not that hard of a program to learn. You can be doing basic vector editing and motion tweens in a couple of hours. For basic editing head over to Webmonkey and read through their tutorials.

I started with Flash 3. The way I learned advanced techniques were downloading movies I liked from Flashkit and breaking them apart to learn how they were made. The program itself isn't hard to learn. What's hard is coding, and learning tricks people use to get certain effects.

Give it a try. You can try it free for a month.
