Slow internet
I just finished reformatting my hd and reinstalling windows and anything that I try to do involving the internet is slow as hell. I have reformatted and reinstalled windows god knows how many times and have never had this problem before. Everything else seems to be fine. Any ideas what could be causing this?

If you are using a cable modem, make sure you set the MTU to 1500.

If you are running WIN98 the receive buffer may be too low. Go to www.pcpitstop.com and run download test. It will check receive buffer and offer patch if too low.
