Bugbeared. Need help.
Norton Anti-Virus quarantined Bugbear. Did it prevent it from damaging files? Is there a way to delete this quarantined bugbear?

It looks like it only detected it in your email so I would think that it hasn't spread. What I would do is to go to Symantec's site and download the Bugbear removal tool. Run the removal tool. If you are infected elsewhere, it will clean it up.

First I deleted the quarantined file (it's a .gif.pif minority report thing) I followed the instructions (unchecked the system restore, safemode, etc.) and ran the Bugbear removal tool. It indicated that there are no bugbears around.

I really got paranoid so I uninstalled Incredimail, backed my downloads, etc. More help regarding this quarantined bugbear.
Thanks for the reply, mairving. |
