re: mozilla
i'm just wondering whether i can choose which websites i allow cookies from. i currently limit the lifetime of cookies to the current session, but figured that if i can block them from certain sites, i should be able to allow them on the ones i trust.

You can select sites that you don't want to give you a cookie by going to Tools/Cookie Manager/clicking "Block cookies from this site. Then later if you change your mind you can go to Tools/Cookie Manager/Manage stored cookies/Cookie Sites tab and remove the entry that you don't want there. Hope that helps.

You can even have Mozilla prompt you before accepting a cookie.
