javascript problems

I can't get IE to work with javascript. Every time I click on a javascript link the browser just ignores it. I am running Windows XP with the latest patches including VBM. have shut down my adsubtract. also made sure scripting was enabled in IE. anyone have any clues to what is the problem.

Was one of your recent patches the latest version of Microsoft's Virtual Machine (I don't know the "VBM" reference in your post - and wondered if you meant "VM" for Virtual Machine)? If you haven't loaded in Virtual Machine, try it.

When you say you enabled Javascript in the IE options, are you referring to the line "JIT compiler enabled" in the VM section of the "Advanced" controls?

Do you use Norton Internet Security?
