ping timing on game play
About 2 weeks ago I noticed that my ping on this server I play cs on has shot up. When my ping used to be 60-80 is not 100-250.
I called the isp, they pinged me and said I was losing packets. So they gave me a new modem and I still have the same problems. During the game play the pings do shot up until there is a big battle, like 10 people shooting guns. No one els ping has gone up on the server, just mine. Here is how my network is set up Motoral cable modem to neatgear router via cat5, router to pc on cat5. Could the router or cat5 cables be bad? Thanks for the time Ryan |

You running ME? It has an annoying little problem of just randomly losing packets... for no reason. Microsoft knows. Their answer is to upgrade. Just wondering...

Airmack I'm having the exact same problem. I also noticed it about 2 weeks ago, and it hasn't gotten any better. Called line provider, called ISP but no help.
I'm clueless |

Im running xp home.
I toke the modem off the router and have it in to usb but still the same thing, so it cant be the router or the cat5 cables. The only think that I installed was roger wilco and thats deleted. The only other thing I can think of is we had a bad storm last weekend, maybe we got some bad lines... |
