internet explorer 6 win98 can bring up a 2nd link window

hi i am wondering if anyone can help me. i download internet explorer 6 and my son did something with a pop up killer. but we uninstalled the pop up killer.but i cant click on a link and bring up a second window. cant play games at most web sites or do anything that takes a second window. it is so stressful any link that takes a new window will not load. tried setting all my internet options to default that didnt help i am wondering if there was something in the pop up killer,which was pop up companion,
if it changed something in my settings.i really need help. i reinstalled internet explorer and it didnt help. i dont know what else to do. plus my computer is doing illeagal operations now like everytime we get on this dumb thing. i just redid this computer not to long ago. i dumped everything and started over. but i am still having trouble . i set my security low and everything . thanks for any help you offer.......
