I'm a beginner at web page design, and I just built my first page in Dreamweaver (we have it at school). What I'm wondering is how to post the website I created in Dreamweaver onto a free internet website providor like Tripod or Geocities. Thanks.

Some of those free ones, You are not free to just put whatever you want. You kind of have to use their templates and such. I did have one at the Old Netscape's free space and I never did get a picture (jpg) to load even thoughit said I could. Probably my fault though, but I did have to basically use their templates. Maybe these other ones are better, but I know on my own space I can just upload using FTP whatever I want.

Every free service has its own peculiarities and policies for uploading your website. Your best source of information is the service you are going to sign up with .. for example Yahoo Geocities upload help can be found here : http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/geo/upload/
